Colorado County Clerks Association Announces 2025 Scholarship Opportunities for High School Seniors

The Colorado County Clerks Association (CCCA) is offering its annual scholarship program to support outstanding high school seniors in Colorado who are pursuing higher education, particularly those with an interest in public service. The scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, community involvement, and financial need.

For the 2025 academic year, CCCA will distribute scholarships across four regions in Colorado:

  • Central Region – Two scholarships of $1,500 and one scholarship of $1,000
  • Eastern, Southern, and Western Regions – One scholarship of $1,500 and one scholarship of $1,000 per region

The scholarship funds may be applied toward educational expenses at universities, colleges, community colleges, or technical institutions.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must:

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.25
  • Submit a completed application
  • Demonstrate involvement in extracurricular, community, and service activities
  • Show financial need or hardship

Students must submit their applications to the Clerk and Recorder in their county of residence by March 28, 2025. Contact information for local county clerks can be found at www.clerkandrecorder.org.

Application & Selection Process

Applications can be submitted via email (preferred), by mail, or in person to the local County Clerk. Each region’s selection committee will review applications and determine winners based on an adopted scoring system.

By April 25, 2025, regional winners and top finalists will be selected, and the names of the winners will be submitted to the Executive Director of the CCCA. Scholarship recipients will be notified and announced on the CCCA website by May 1, 2025.

Upon graduation, winners must submit their institution’s remittance details to the Board Treasurer. Funds will be sent directly to the student’s institution and must be claimed by December 31, 2025. If a scholarship is unclaimed by that date, it will be awarded to the runner-up.
