Baca County Economic Development Commission has created a 2024 Building Enhancement
Program. Early applications are encouraged as funds are limited.

The focus of this program is to help Baca County Businesses improve building exteriors (store
fronts).  Examples of types of improvements include exterior paint, exterior lighting, awnings,
signage, windows, and landscape.
 
This is a reimbursement program in that all grants will be for reimbursement of expenses
approved in the application process. Applications will be accepted from January 6, 2024 to
March 31, 2024. The termination date of funding will be based on funding availability and / or
March 31, 2024.  Applications will be reviewed in order of submission.
Request for grant funds can be made up to $4000. The requirements for applying for the grant
are the business headquarters must be located within the boundaries of Baca County, business
classified as small independent / community business in good standing and building selected for
enhancement must be occupied. Approved enhancement expenses must be completed by
December 31, 2024.
 
The intent of this program is to help small businesses in Baca County improve store fronts. The
revitalization of business districts in Baca County is important to economic growth.
