In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes, Section 1-5-205, notice is hereby given that Tuesday the 28th day of June is a Primary Election that will be held in Baca County as an all-mail ballot delivery election.
Ballots will be mailed to each active registered elector the week of June 6 – 10, 2022 in accordance with C.R.S. Section 1-7.5107(3)(a)(I).
As soon as you receive your ballot you may return it the following ways:
1. Drop your ballot off at the Baca County Clerk & Recorder’s Office at 741 Main Street, Suite 3, Springfield, CO 81073.
2. Place adequate postage on your ballot return envelope and mail it back.
Remember to allow enough time for mail delivery of your voted ballot. All ballots must be returned to the Clerk and Recorder’s office by Election Day, June 28, 2022 by 7:00 p.m. in order to be counted, whether by hand delivery or mail delivery (Postmarks do not count), or
3. Drop your ballot in the 24/7 Drive-Up Drop Box located in the Courthouse Driveway/Drive through, south side of the building (no postage necessary). Baca County Courthouse, 741 Main, Springfield, CO 81073. This option is highly encouraged for the easy access for the voters.

Notice is hereby given that a proposed budget has been submitted to the Board of Education of Springfield School District RE-4 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022 and has been filed in the Office of the Superintendent where it is available for public inspection. The Board of Adjustment for the Town of Springfield will hold a public hearing on a variance application from Southeast Colorado Enterpise Development, Kestral Subdivision Reception No. 431765, Lots 1, 2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 to allow workforce housing single-family and duplexes to encroach 5’- 7’ feet into the side-yard setback. Per Section 16-29, (d) (3) of the Springfield Municipal Code, in the R-1 Single-family residential Zone District, side-yard setbacks shall be a minimum of 7 feet of sideyards and 10 feet on the street side of corner lots. The hearing will be at City Hall, 748 Main Street at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
PUBLIC HEARING
The Board of Adjustment for the Town of Springfield will hold a public hearing on a variance application from Lorene Reynal, 1056 Santa Fe Street, Springfield, CO, Lot 9, Block 24, Tipton Addition to allow a 24’x12’ car canopy to encroach 25 feet into the front yard setback. Mr. Reynal is also asking for an allowance on a 14’x54’ trailer to be attached to her existing mobile home as an addition for bedrooms. Per Section 16-29(d)(2) the front yard setback shall be 25 feet. Per Section 16-28, (c) (10) of the Springfield Municipal Code, Special exceptions. The following uses shall be permitted, provided that they are first approved by the board as special exceptions: (10) Mobile homes, in a location which will not materially and adversely affect the surroundings.
