April 5, 1949 – April 21, 2022

William (Bill) Dean McEndree was born April 5th, 1949, in Lamar, Colorado to James Gale and Alona Ramey McEndree.
Bill’s early years were spent at the family ranch northwest of Springfield and attending Big Rock School. It was during these early years he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. At the age of 9 he moved to Springfield with his family, attending Springfield school, graduating in 1967. Bill was active in football, track, basketball, rodeo, and dragging main.
Bill met Vickie Homsher in High School and the two were married on October 19, 1968. To this union three children were born Guy Dayne, Kyann Ranae, Gil Devin.
Bill and Vickie started their life together on the family ranch northwest of Springfield. They moved to their forever home in Springfield in 1971 when Bill started to work for the Town of Springfield in the Power Plant and later moved on to the electric department. Bill retired from the city in 1997 and then went to SECPA as a warehouseman where he retired from the work force in 2011.
Bill was very involved in the education and sports activities of Kyann and Gil so much that when Gil was in high school Bill would film his games and when Gil got home, he had to watch those games with his dad.
The greatest joy for Bill was becoming a Papa to his 6 grandchildren. So much that when he and Vickie went to celebrate their 40th Anniversary they took the entire family on a trip to Disney World in Florida. Bill and Vickie attended as many extracurricular functions as possible for their grandkids until that bite of one mosquito in 2012.
Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on April 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his infant son Guy, parents Gale and Alona McEndree, Brother Bob McEndree, father-in-law Forrest Homsher, brothers in law David Humphry, and Doug Konkel.
He leaves behind wife Vickie, daughter Kyann (Jason) Orvis, son Gil (Sarah) McEndree, grandkids Kylea (Marc) Bohall, Kaleb (Kirstyn) Eskew, Kelsea (Ben) Brink, Hannah, Payton and Gavin McEndree. Great grandkids Dallie, Holdon, Riggin and Lanceton Bohall, Boonne and Dayton Eskew, sister in law Charmaine McEndree, brother Burl (Jeanie) McEndree, brother Gale (Carla Hair) McEndree; sisters Nyla (Rick Hair) Hartley; Larae (Storm) Casper; Marla Humphry; Aunt Carol (Clyde) Greer; mother in law Alice Homsher; sisters in law Linda Homsher Hicks, Marsha Bishop, Jana Konkel; brothers in law Frosty Homsher and Kent (Carmen) Homsher; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
